My daughter and I had a wonderful time! She loved all of the stories and loved leading the way with lantern. All of the stories and histories of each location were captivating and our tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Albuquerque.

Step Into the Spirit of Día de los Muertos in Old Town Albuquerque
During the tour, we explore the rich history, cultural roots and significance, and the beautiful traditions of Day of the Dead. We share authentic folklore and introduce you to the purpose and meaning behind this beloved celebration. Stroll through historic Old Town adorned with vibrant ofrendas, marigolds, papel picado, and handcrafted altars.
Feel the presence of the past as you learn about local customs and the meaning behind the symbols—from skulls and skeletons to the stories they still tell.
Gain respectful and accurate understanding of how communities honor and remember their loved ones.
To enhance this experience, AbqTours provides items for you to leave on public ofrendas in Old Town: Water, candles, sugar skulls, incense and Pan de Muerto (a traditional sweet bread, which is meant for the ofrenda and not for sampling).
