What makes your tours different? We’ve been doing this for 24+ years. We’re local, full-time, and deeply connected to the community. We know the real stories and the people behind them. Our guides are seasoned storytellers who bring Old Town to life.

What time should I arrive? What if I’m late? Arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Tours start on time and we can’t hold the group. Parking in Old Town can take time (street, paid, or free lots nearby). Plan ahead so you don’t miss out.

Are the stories real? Yes. We work with real investigators, psychics, and eyewitnesses. No scripts. No fiction. Just the strange and true.

Do tours happen in bad weather? Yes! Rain, snow, heat, or wind — tours run in all weather. Dress smartly for the season. The ghosts don’t take time off.

How scary is it? Public tours are spooky but not terrifying. Rated PG-13. Private 18+ tours can go deeper into adult themes and language. Paranormal activity is never guaranteed, but it has happened.

What should I wear or bring? Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the elements. Bring layers, rain gear, sun protection, or a hot drink depending on the season. Don’t forget your camera! Gratuities for guides are always appreciated. Cash preferred.

Are kids allowed? Yes, with a ticket. Public tours are PG-13 due to some intense historical themes. Children must be well-behaved and under supervision. Strollers strongly recommended for kids 5 and under. Private or family tours are the best choice for younger guests.

Is the tour wheelchair/stroller accessible? Yes. Our routes are flat with no stairs. Guests use wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and strollers regularly. For extra flexibility, book a private tour and go at your pace.

Can I bring my dog? Absolutely. Well-behaved, leashed or carried pets are welcome. Dog clean-up bags are available on the Plaza.

How safe is the tour route at night? Very safe. We’ve been guiding nightly walks in Old Town for over 20 years without issue. Our routes are public, well-trafficked, and monitored. Your guide is experienced, alert, and trained to keep tours smooth and secure.

Is ghost-hunting equipment allowed? Yes! You can rent an EMF meter or bring your own gear. We just ask that you don’t record video or audio.

What if I’ve been before? No two tours are exactly the same. New stories, different routes, and unexpected surprises make every experience unique.

Can I take photos or share on social media? Yes to photos! We love being tagged. Follow us on Instagram (@abqtours) and Facebook. Video/audio recording is not permitted.

How big are tour groups? Average group size is 8–12 guests. Max is 25. We keep it personal so everyone can hear and interact.

Is the content graphic or violent? Tours are rated PG-13 for historical topics like crime, death, and the wild past. No gore, but it’s real history.

Do we go inside buildings or cemeteries? Tours take place outside historic buildings and active businesses. We share the stories from the street, but you can always return during daytime hours to explore further.

Do you offer private or themed tours? Yes. Customize your tour with themes like true crime, haunted pubs, or pure history. You choose start time, distance, and duration.

🟧 Policies & Booking Rules

Are there restrooms on the route? No breaks during the tour, but we’re right next to public restrooms. Use them before you check in.

Are tours offered in other languages? Tours are in English. On private tours, you can bring a translator for your group if needed.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else? Yes. Just contact us to update the reservation name.

What if minimum attendance isn’t met? If we don’t meet the minimum, we’ll contact you 2 hours before start time to reschedule or refund.

Can I tip my guide? Yes please! $5/person is standard. Cash, Venmo, PayPal all welcome.

Do I need to sign a waiver? Yes. One waiver covers your entire party. Participation is at your own risk. This is an outdoor event with walking, crowds, and surprises.

Do you provide transportation? No. These are walking tours in Old Town. Rideshare, taxis, and bus service are all available in Albuquerque.

Do you offer group or military discounts? Yes. Bigger groups get bigger discounts. Military and veterans can get discounted tickets through Kirtland AFB’s ITT office.

Are you open on holidays? We are closed on most major holidays so our guides can be with their families. Check our site for full holiday schedule.
